Day 17 of 84
Finally a rest day. Went to the gym and took a 24 S.E.T. class. The step instructor was out for the day so this was the substitute class. It was basically a mix of some step movements mixed with light weight training and core strengthening. I totally looked like a weakling doing a lot of the moves without the weights. Why would I lift weights on my rest...

Day 9 of 84
operationsexy2012:
Today was a rest day so I decided to attend the Hip Hop Hustle class at my 24 hour fitness. I’m glad this class exists because I really miss dancing. It’s the one time out of the week that I can just get totally lost (sometimes literally =P) in the world of choreo and booty poppin’ hardcore beats.

Now that the half-marathon is complete and recovery week ends tonight, it’s time to start the 12 Week Kris Gethin workout! Took my starting stats tonight (02/12):
Weight: 144 lbs
Body Fat: 19%
Waist: 33 in
My overall goal is to get between the 10-15% body fat range by the end of the 3 months. My lean proteins and slow digesting carbs are already cooked and prepared for...
SWAG
I’ve been limping the last couple of days due to my training for a half-marathon coming up this Sunday. Today at work my lead saw that I was limping and asked me what happened. After I told him he said, “Oh, I didn’t even realize you were injured, I thought you were just trying out a new walk with more swag!” LOL…my lead is awesome!

Blessed
I had a phone interview today. When it was time for me to ask questions the last part of it went a little something like this
ME: How many people are you currently interviewing for this position?
INTERVIEWER: I’ve actually interviewed over 100 people for just this position. The recruiter initially looked at 400 resumes for this position alone. The surprising thing is that I’ve...

The "W" in Christmas
Each December, I vowed to make Christmas a calm and peaceful experience. I had cut back on nonessential obligations - extensive card writing, Endless baking, decorating, and even overspending. Yet still, I found myself exhausted, unable to appreciate the Precious family moments, and of course, the true meaning of Christmas. My son, Nicholas, was in kindergarten that year. It was an exciting Season...
That Guy's An Asshole
I went to Sara Bareilles concert last Friday, and she premiered a song she recently wrote entitled, “That Guy’s An Asshole.” By far my favorite song of the night. Before she started singing it she said, “This song is dedicated to every piece of shit out there that makes me angry…” Sara is effing hilarious in concert…if only I could hang out with her for...

How to Find Your Bliss: Golden Pool of Magic →
unexpressablehope:
We all start out knowing magic. We are born with whirlwinds, forest fires, and comets inside us. We are born able to sing to birds and read clouds and see our destiny in grains of sand. But then we get the magic educated right out of our souls. We get it churched out, spanked out, washed out, and…
